Seed
Postseason rank within a league — three division winners, then three Wild Cards.
What Seed means
Division winners take seeds 1 to 3 by record and the three best remaining clubs take 4 to 6, which is why the field is not simply the six best records in the league: a division winner with a losing record is seeded ahead of a 95-win Wild Card. Seeds 1 and 2 skip the Wild Card round; 3 hosts 6 and 4 hosts 5, both best-of-three, with the higher seed hosting every game.
