What LD% means
The most productive batted-ball class by a distance: line drives fall for hits around 65% of the time. League average is near 21%, and the stat is noisy enough that a full season is barely a stable sample.
What counts as a good LD%
Higher is better — roughly .170 is poor, .210 average, .240 good, and .270 or better elite.
