Exchange
Catcher exchange — seconds from ball into the mitt to the ball leaving the hand.
What Exchange means
The transfer half of pop time, and the half a catcher controls with footwork rather than arm. League median is about 0.65 seconds; 0.60 or under is the quickest tenth.
What counts as a good Exchange
Lower is better — roughly .710 is poor, .650 average, .620 good, and .600 or better elite.
