E
Errors — misplays that let a batter or runner reach a base they shouldn't have.
What E means
The scorer's judgment call on a play an average fielder makes. Runs that score afterwards are unearned, which is how ERA and RA come apart. Shown per game in the linescore and per season on a fielding line.
