ISO

Isolated power — extra bases per at-bat. SLG minus AVG.

What ISO means

Strips singles out of slugging so you're left with just extra-base hits. A pure power gauge — Aaron Judge sits around .280, slap hitters under .120.

How ISO is calculated

ISO = SLG − AVG

What counts as a good ISO

Higher is better — roughly .120 is poor, .160 average, .200 good, and .250 or better elite.
