DRS
Defensive Runs Saved — runs a fielder saved vs average, from film-based charting.
What DRS means
Baseball Info Solutions' scouted alternative to OAA. The two usually agree in direction; when they diverge sharply, the sample is normally too small to trust either.
What counts as a good DRS
Higher is better — roughly -5 is poor, 0 average, 5 good, and 10 or better elite.
